Project 2: Rainbow loom bracelets

Colours ... colours ... and loads of colours all around... just expressing what I felt when I was making these wrist bands. I came across these bands when I was on my trip to Thailand. I love seeing colours all around, sometimes I specially go to malls just to see colourful clothes and other things stacked around "its like meditation for my eyes". So back to the topic, when I saw these bands I just wanted to make those cute little things someday.
Here ! finally I put in the effort to make it , all because of this creativity project 30. It really is making me do things that I have been procastinating from few months ... some are like years. Anyways 'all is well that ends well'.

Things I used:
120 loom rubberbands
1 loom making stand
1 U needle
2 S hooks

This wristband style is fishtail pattern and there are many more different types of patterns for this medium but presently I made this as it was the easiest pattern for a starter like me. Though I am planning to make all the styles soon , because I really enjoyed making these bands. Felt like I am playing a game where I have many levels to pass which is very colourful.

Things I learned while making  this Project2:
  • Don't over-estimate the power of complicated tools, when I  bought this loom band making tool I thought 'how the hell am I going to make anything using this', but finally I made peace with my thoughts and gave it a shot, and you know it was most entertaining thing I have ever made.
  • It feels awesome when you get lost in time while making things you enjoy.
  • I love making new things.

This is all I have to say, if you like making things  and you have blog like me , just drop in your link. I would love to read it.
till than stay tuned and keep making new things ..

Love:)

Project 1: Floral Head Gear

Project 1: Floral Head Gear

My first project for Project 30 is Floral Head Gear, from many days I wanted to make one of these head gear but always dropped by thinking I dont have right material for it. But as I started this project I was thinking what to make that I never made and it clicked me right on time( actually suggested by my friend as she wanted something like this for her photography project). So I thought to make it with whatever I have with me and with what I can get my hands on like these flowers I got from market , not any store but from person decorating the mall for Diwali( Indian Festival)  with bunch of flowers. So I finally got the main ingredient for Floral Head Gear, rest all I managed to use leftovers I had with me to complete the headband any how.

Materials I used:
  • 6 Fake flowers
  • few inches of gold and silver thin wire( thats what I had)
  • Green flower stem wrap
  • Glue gun
and tadaa!! I made it. Though only few materials used  but the making it was bit difficult as I didnt have right materials , so to get right texture I had to work on it bit longer. Finally I got through the hurdle and made it as I wanted though not perfect but wearable and good looking.

Few things I learnt while making it :
  • Waiting for perfect time , weather or materials wont make you do things . You just have to do it without judging and than improvise.
  • Always try first with whatever you have rather than keep collecting things and never do it(which I do a lot).
  • There is always a way to do things , you just have to change the view and be creative.
  • Sometimes creativity flows best in pressure.
  • lastly, if you put deadline to things it might get done faster than you think.
Finally I bid goodbye,
see you soon with new project

loads of love .

Creativity Project 30

here is my first attempt to do something that is different from I have never done inspired from a wellknown blogger ELISE BLAHA.
This Project30 is about making something new from what I have ever made for 30days , everyday one new craft.
Only Rule is to make one new craft everyday for 30 days and update it on any social media where people can see without judging my creativity and just upload it for everyone to see and inspire.

I have read so many blogs and always wished to do something new.
what I have learned from those blog is:

  1.  Have passion for what you do
  2. If  do something , than be consistent about it.
  3. Always be true to yourself and if you are a blogger than write what you feel and not what you should for publicity
  4. Have patience to let things workout itself.

So finally , I have started my journey..!

love

Getting. Started!!!

Finally I m starting.... A very difficult thing to do.
So here is my first blog post about getting started.
From past year I have been following many creative blogs and every time I see amazing blogs and it hits me.. That's what I want to do!!   Yeah ! I am so charged to begin it that I start dreaming about it in every possible way .. And then I m smashed with a single thought of wht if? And I put it down by excusing myself that it is too hard.. Or it's just not my thing or I don't have time.

But lately I realised that I am so scared and afraid to start that i shush! the voice ,every time i hear it saying 'start a blog ' and I m like shut up it's not for me.... n like obedient child I put it down..Finally I fought with my voice and took this first step with a thought
"If  your inner voice can criticize you , it can also motivate you. Use your inner voice to build you up not put you down" - RAJIV SINGH

Hope to get finally started!
